Throw a Baby Shark Birthday Party

New Birthday Party Theme

By Kristen Fischer February 17, 2019

Is the "Baby Shark" song stuck in your head? Put it into a party! That's right, the theme is now taking over not only party music, but themes, too.

Want a few ideas for a Baby Shark birthday party? You could have tons of fun with it, especially if you live near the ocean like many of us. Just set up a beachfront birthday party, or consider hosting it somewhere near the sea or the bay.

Then, add some fun decorations. The theme is so widely used--move over, Mickey Mouse--that you'll find plenty of these ideas at your local party store or dollar store. Especially around here at the Jersey Shore, as more stores begin to put out summer novelties and decorations.

Here are a few ways to tie in the theme. Just take any underwater theme goodies, and make sure to include some cute-looking sharks. Want a candy table? Include some underwater-themed candies. Need cupcake toppers? Cut out a fin and tape it to toothpicks. Want a party activity that ties in? Try pin the tail on the shark. (They make kits with these things at party stores and online, seriously!)

Here's a kit I liked when doing a simple online search. You could incorporate "shark bait" and "jawesome" into invitations, favors....you name it!

So, will you be having a Baby Shark party in the next few months? Keep us posted on how you use this new theme!
