We all have that one amazing teacher that inspired us in ways we will never forget. If we are lucky, we even have more than one. Teacher Appreciation Week is the opportunity to recognize those teachers that make a difference in our local communities every day. I know this is just a small window into the amazing teachers we have in our area and in the state of New Jersey. With one of the best education track records in the country, as a parent, I know it starts in the classroom, with the teachers. Always remember, a teacher's job never ends at 3PM or because they leave the school building. Teachers are thinking of their students while they do their weekly grocery shopping as the buy snacks for their classroom; when they spend a Saturday morning at the public library looking for more books to help enrich their lessons, one a Tuesday night when they show up at the ball field to watch a student's baseball game. Terrific Teacher Appreciation Week is just a small opportunity for us to recognize all that you do and the impact you have on our children. Thank you to all the Terrific Teachers out there!
