Hey there! We wanted to share five awesome upcoming events that you and your family won't want to miss. No matter your child's interests — from sharks to entrepreneurship — we've got you covered. These free and virtual events are a great way to have fun and learn something new together. So, mark your calendars and get ready for some awesome experiences!

1. Help Protect Local Pollinators

Whether you're happy to see a butterfly flutter by in the park or nervous to see a bee buzzing near your picnic, these pollinators are hard at work making your world work for you. In this interactive online class led by the Chicago Botanic Gardens, students will learn the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem, get to know and learn to love these amazing creatures, and find out how they can help pollinators. Thursday, April 27

2. Want to Start a Business? Take This Entrepreneurship Mini Camp For Girls

Techgirlz, a nonprofit that inspires middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers, is hosting a free two-day virtual Entrepreneur Mini Camp for girls in grades 5 to 8.  Participants will go from idea generation to presentation of their prototype and business plan! Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30

3. Learn How To Protect & Care For Wildlife

Let your little backyard explorer learn more about nature from National Geographic Explorer and documentary photographer Mélanie Wenger! In this free online class, children will learn about the effects that social media can have on wildlife preservation, how to best interact with wildlife, and what they can do to protect endangered species. 4. Celebrate AAPI Month With A Story & Craft

Celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a special hello song, silly dances and games, a storybook reading, and a craft. The New York Historical Society Museum & Library is leading this activity, which will include a reading of Cora Cooks Pancit. After the story, you can make your own apron, complete with a favorite family recipe, at home!
